Upon completion of the Ramadhan Relief Programme in Bangladesh, The World Federation was pleased to receive the following remarks from its partnering agency in the region:
“We are pleased that by the Grace of the Almighty, we have smoothly distributed the Ramadhan Relief 1429/2008 among the deserving Non-Sadats in Bangladesh. Most of the recipients, particularly the women and widows, expressed their grateful thanks and prayed for the wellbeing and prosperity of all donors. Some of these individuals who received aid just before Eid-ul-Fitr shed tears of happiness, that now they could provide something to their orphan children for Eid.”
Upon receipt of the Ramadhan Relief funds, aid was immediately provided to those residing in Old Dhaka. To avoid any confusion with respect to distribution among Sadaat and Non-Sadaat individuals, relief was distributed door to door.
Phase 2 of the distribution took place in Dhaka, Mohammedpur, Mirpur, Khulna, Rangpur and Chittagong.
