Salamun alaikum

It is an honour for me to have been elected as the President of the World Federation and to be in the fortunate position to continue the important work of this institution. To serve Islam and prepare for the arrival of our 12th Imam, Imam Mohamed Mahdi AS (May Allah hasten his appearance) is a duty that must remain uppermost in our minds. As I take this responsibility, I promise to stay true to the core values of the World Federation, and to work towards the overriding goals of preserving our religious identity, elevating our spiritual self and eradicating illiteracy, poverty and disease.

Over the last few months I have made nine specific pledges and 39 key actions in my manifesto. This is my covenant with you. It is now my responsibility to ensure that I have a team in place that delivers on them. I consider it imperative that we evolve and reform to meet the ever-changing needs of our community.  We must always do so under the umbrella of our honourable Islamic principles, and we must ensure that this message of tabligh is brought to all. 

As we embark upon the task of enhancing the organisation to even higher levels of inclusivity and efficiency taking into account the dynamic nature of our society and the ever increasing pace of change in the world, I invite and encourage all of you to share your ideas, your perspectives, your skills, and  your participation in a common purpose: that of serving Islam and preparing for the arrival of our 12th Imam Mohamed Mahdi AS (May Allah hasten his appearance). Collectively, as one team, we will achieve so much more, and when we work together we will build a World Federation that truly represents and responds to you its constituents, inshallah.

By electing me as your President you have put your trust in me to chart out new visions and ideas that will fulfil the needs and aspirations of our Community in the decade to come. With the help of Allah (S.W.T) and your continued support, I will, inshallah, not disappoint you.

My request to you is to pray that Allah (S.W.T) helps me in this task.
