Established for more than 25 years, the World Federation has consistently been serving the Community.  As I travel around the globe meeting members of the Community, I know that its activities are known only too well amongst its members and the community. The organization  was blessed with the exemplary  leadership  of Marhum Mulla Asgher, and owes a great deal to his personal efforts. It is by the grace of Allah , that the team at the Secretariat continues to serve the Community in the same spirit of sincerity and simplicity and  the good works he began continue. Given such a wealth of experience and history, and in cognizance of the ever changing circumstances and new challenges, the organization has begun to evolve beyond the historical perspective of its activities and increasingly  looks to the future to fulfill the high expectations of the Community .  
 
During this term, the team at the secretariat has built a very successful programme of "Vision to Reality" which has already started the process of planning, and the organisation is seeing the immediate results of this.  This is a very exciting time for the World Federation - it has a well-established structure, strong community backing and is well on its way to build a collective the vision to look to the future and see what it can provide the Shia Ithna-Asheri community worldwide. There is no better blessing or responsibility than to be in this unique position to serve people. We need to maximise this opportunity that is before us, for the present time as well as for the future.  The work that has been done so far should continue to be effective long after the current generations inshallah.
 
As part of the strategic planning process, we are now asking the community at large on their opinions about the World Federation.   Please do take the time to fill in the Questionnaire  which  focuses on where are we now and where do we want to be in Year 2008.   Many of you, who I have met during my visits,  have vocalised your aspirations of the WF; now is your opportunity to actively participate in shaping the future of the WF.
