ZCSS is once again playing a vital role in giving opportunities’ to students who cannot afford an education.

The vision behind the scheme is to ensure the next generation of these poverty stricken communities are given the opportunity to learn the skills necessary to lift themselves out of poverty and achieve self-sufficiency. 

At the Jaffery and Fatimiyya School in Mahuva in Gujurat, we find two former students sponsored by The Zainabiya Child Sponsorship Scheme who are putting their skills to great use. As Teachers Akthar Nisha Sheikh  and Nilofer Govani are both inspiring the next generation of children to learn, and follow their dreams into various professions.

Following her sponsorship, Nisha chose to teach at the school with the vision to educate and empower children in her local community who come from backgrounds similar to her own. Sharing her thoughts about the benefits of teaching in a school where the children are sponsored by ZCSS to attain an education Nisha said, “If I can give my knowledge to these students (poor students from her community) it will be more beneficial to them.”

Nilofer also feels very passionate about ZCSS as without the sponsorship she received payed for by a kind donor, she would not have been able to study to become the teacher she is today.  Both teachers are examples of how by the grace of Allah (S.W.T.), just a single sponsorship can go much further and transform so many more lives.

India has the world’s largest illiterate population, and an economy that is growing at a rapid pace. However the gap between the rich and the poor is constantly increasing in India, and educational sponsorship programs such as The Zainabiya Child Sponsorship Scheme gives under-privileged children an opportunity to break free from the vicious cycle of poverty.

The Zainabiya Child Sponsorship scheme provides students from the lowest income households, sponsorship to assist their school fees and other educational needs. The scheme currently caters for students in:
• Pre-school
• Primary school
• Secondary School
• College
• University
