Zainabiya Child Sponsorship Scheme (ZCSS) allows YOU to provide children in Haiti a brighter future.

The Al Mahdi School in Haiti provides education for more than 150 students, who would have otherwise ended up in the streets. By looking after their immediate needs today, ZCSS is once again using a tried and tested model to empower communities through education towards self-sufficiency.

Dume is 11 years old and is a student at the Al Mahdi School. His father died when he was a baby and his mother left him. He told us, “This school is like my home. My favourite part about being here is that I get to learn about Islam.  When I grow up I want to be an engineer who builds homes.”

Dume asked us to thank the donors who have supported the school since the earthquake; but he hopes that his friends at the school can be sponsored so that they too do not have to worry about going back on the streets. His message was:  “Thank you for everything and may God be with you”.

7 year-old Ceya is also a student at The Al Mahdi School. She is currently in Grade 3 and is making immense progress after loosing her parents in the devastating earthquake. She hopes you will sponsor her so that she can continue learning at the Al Mahdi School. Ceya has made great progress academically, and socially. She has made friends at the school and she is finally starting to put the tragic earthquake behind her. Please consider sponsor her today for only £15 GBP / $20 USD-CAD per month so that she can carry on her education.

5 year-old Augustine is a happy child. Her smile while she is at school shows that the children of Haiti hope for a better future. Augustine is happy to be at school, to play and be a normal child because being with other children allows her to forget about the poverty that her and her family live with day in and day out. Be the reason for Augustine’s happiness and sponsor her today so that she can continue to grow with the teachings of the Al Mahdi School.

All the children at The Al Mahdi School have heartbreaking stories to tell us about the earthquake that devastated their lives and the struggles that they continue to face. ZCSS is once again hoping to rebuild lives and communities through education. We hope that you can help us to rebuild the lives of 120 children at the Al Mahdi School by donating £15 GBP /$20 USD-CAD per month per child to keep the children at the School.
