BMMK celebrates Eid Miladun Nabi (saw) 1431

Updated 28 April 2010

To mark the birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.) Bilal Muslim Mission of Kenya (BMMK) organized a grand function on 6 March  2010.

The month of Rabi-ul Awwal is characterized by jubilation as Muslims all over the world put aside their sectarian differences and respond to the call of unity.

The occasion attracted scholars, community leaders, students and members of the local community.

The program interspersed with recitation of Qaswidas, traditional Mawlid Barzanji and salaam by Madrastus-Swalihina.

Sheikh Abdillahi Nassir delivered a speech on “The importance of unity amongst Muslims”.  He emphasized that Muslims should unite and talk as one voice in matters affecting them both locally and globally.

The occasional recitation of salawat by the audience punctuated his entire speech which indicated that they were following the speech attentively.

The program concluded with recitation of dua and Niyaz was served.

Similar celebrations are organised at the BMMK centres in the rural areas.
