Qum Office held a programme in Gujarati, commemorating the martyrdom of Hazrat Fatema Zahra (sa) at Dar al-Zahra. Shaykh Kumail Rajani gave the lecture and in the first part he spoke about the Book of Fatima (‘Mushaf’). He described how the Mushaf was a type of revelation from Allah through Jibrail (as) and written down by Imam Ali (as). According to the traditions, the Mushaf is 3 times the size of the Holy Quran, and possession of it is one of the sign of the true Imam. This is why we see in history some Imams debated with the leader of the Zaidiyah sect who believe in the Imamat of Zayd, son of Imam Zaynul Abideen (as). 

 
Shaykh Kumail also discussed the life of Bibi Fatema (sa) and how her noble character was such that the Prophet said several times: ‘Fidahaa abuha’ – May her father be sacrificed for her.

The programme started with congregational prayers of Maghribayn, recitation of The Holy Quran, Marsiyah, followed by Majlis in Gujarati, Nauha, Ziyarat and Niyaz.
