The World Federation Boys Youth Camp was held in Panvel, Mumbai from 24-27 May 2012. This was the first WF camp to be held in Mumbai. The camp was open to boys between the ages of 13 – 17. Held in Saif Enclave, Panvel, the goal of the camp was to promote Islamic guidance and support, address social issues, focus on personality development and participate in physical activities.
Mashallah, 39 boys and 5 mentors participated in the camp. Local mentors who were already experienced in teaching and nurturing students were chosen to participate in the camp. Mentor training was held on Sunday 20 May at The World Federation India Office in Mumbai.


Sayyid Aliraza Naqvi, Assistant Secretary General for Islamic Education, stated: “The India Office organised the first youth camp of its kind by The World Federation with great results. I am overjoyed that Tableegh work has begun to penetrate into our community in India. By the grace of Allah, the camp focused on a number of pertinent areas. Such activities must continue, and I look forward to the next one. Well done to Asad bhai Virani and his team, may Allah increase their tawfeeq, ameen.”
