Food and other essentials were distributed by Tanga branch of the Mission, at the coastal town of Pangai where 18 schools were the beneficiaries of the project.
The project consisted of distributing porridge in the morning hours in which 6095 students would benefit for three consecutive months. The distribution also included 15350 kgs of maize flour and 3850 kgs of sugar.
Sheikh Mubaraka of Hauzatul Qaim (as) took the opportunity to educate the students as well as the staff of the importance of the holy month of Muharram, the value of charity in the holy month and the status of education in Islam.
Tanga branch has increased their centres to eleven with Pembei, Kwamkole, Geiza, Maili nane, Makaka, Miembeni and Kilulu being added recently.
