Updated 13 December 2011
This Muharram, Ashra majalises to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Husayn (as), his family and companions were arranged in most of the new Islamic Centres funded by The World Federation across Pakistan’s flood affected areas.
As well, regional directors have also initiated the following programmes in these new centres:
• Qur’an tutoring classes (Tadrees e Qur’an) for the children
• Majalis Programmes
• Jumu”ah (Friday) Prayers
The World Federation is working with its regional partner, Hussaini Foundation in Pakistan to rebuild the Islamic Centres. Hussaini Foundation reported: “The villager’s behaviour towards their own future is turning positive as they are sending their children to these Islamic Centres. Now is the time to seriously consider the appointment of religious guides in the centres that are ready.”
