The World Federation of KSIMC is pleased to report that the MUHARRAM 1432 APPEAL: 40 ISLAMIC CENTRES IN 40 DAYS has surpassed its initial target, raising enough funds to rebuild a total of 45 Islamic Centres to date throughout Pakistan.
In less than 40 days, community members from across the world responded to the religious and spiritual needs of our brothers and sisters living in Pakistan with their financial support. From donations to sponsorships, individuals and Jamaats united in the name of Imam Husayn (AS) to keep the message of the Ahlul Bayt (AS) alive in this flood-torn nation.
In these challenging and worrying times, The World Federation of KSIMC takes this opportunity to sincerely thank all those who supported this appeal during Muharram. Your contribution means a lot to thousands of displaced families seeking to rebuild their lives and their communities. We will continue to keep you posted on the progress and development of this project.
MUHARRAM 1432 APPEAL EXTENDED
As many as 200 Islamic Centres were damaged by the monsoon floods in Pakistan. With the success of the Muharram 1432 Appeal, 155 more centres need rebuilding. The World Federation of KSIMC is therefore extending the MUHARRAM 1432 APPEAL: 40 ISLAMIC CENTRES IN 40 DAYS in an effort to raise the balance of the funds needed to complete the reconstruction of the remaining 155 Centres.
The World Federation is urging all community members, Jamaats and Madrasahs around the world to continue their support of this year’s Muharram Fund.
THE COST OF SPONSORING AN ISLAMIC CENTRE
Rebuilding Islamic Centres across Pakistan is a vital step towards rebuilding communities that today are scattered. When you sponsor the construction of a Mosque, Madrasah or Imambargah, you are laying the foundation for communities to grow from in the way of Allah (SWT). The cost of sponsoring one Islamic Centre is £2,370 GBP / $3,750 USD-CAD per Centre. This sponsorship includes:
• Construction of an Islamic Centre in Pakistan
• Furnishings for the interior of the building
• A donor plaque (at the request of the donor)
