In the Indian state of Bihar, close to 85 percent of the population lives in villages. Poverty is rampant here and The World Federation has been working in this region since the days of Marhum Mulla Asgharali M.M. Jaffer.
Last Ramadhan, thanks to the efforts of our partnering agency in Patna, Bihar, food rations were distributed to nearly 200 Mo’mineen in the different villages of:
• Siwan District
• Rohtas District
• Ranchi
• Patna
Whilst many benefited from Ramadhan Relief, there were many more that still needed aid. We pray that next year, Inshallah, with the continued help and support from our donors, we will be able to help more and more of our brothers and sisters living in destitution through The World Federation’s Ramadhan Relief Fund.

Shan-E-Abbas Hassam, an Executive Councillor and former ASG of Relief said: 'We are indebted to the hard work and services of our volunteers in Patna. This year they have worked to make sure that food and basic necessities reach in so many multiple towns and villages that are difficult to get to. We have heard of the stories and the difficulties they endured to make sure that the food grains and other items reached the deserving. We thank them and pray to Almighty Allah (swt) to fully accept their services, Ameen.'
