Bomb blasts in Iraq

The World Federation of KSMIC has received sad news of a number of bomb blasts in Iraqi cities, including Karbala.

Sources at the Karbala general hospital have confirmed one death. The blast in Karbala was the third attack in the past two days on the holy city, as Shia pilgrims headed to visit the shrine of Imam Husayn (as) to mark 15th Sha'baan. The visit to Karbala on 15th Sha'baan has become one of the annual pilgrimages since the fall of Saddam Hussein in 2003.

The World Federation offers sincere condolences to the Imam of the Time (aj), and prays for the safety and well-being of all zawwar and mu'mineen. The World Federation requests mu'mineen to join in prayers for the early reappearance of our awaited saviour (aj), to eradicate such injustices and senseless violence.
