Updated 3 November 2010

The President of The World Federation of KSIMC, Dr Asgharali Moledina accompanied by the Vice President of CoEJ, Br. Gulamhusein Sumar, visited Sweden Jamaats 9 & 10 October 2010.

On 9 October a session with Märsta Jamaat’s members as well a separate session with the managing committee was organised. The President of WF and the Vice President of CoEJ proceeded next day to Trollhätan Jamaat, whereby they had similar sessions with members and managing committee of Trollhättan Jamaat. Dr. Moledina also had the opportunity to recite short majlises at both Jamaats, and these were very well received.

In the sessions with the Jamaats members, the Vice President of CoEJ gave a brief report reflecting on the visit with The World Federation team to Pakistan in the aftermath of the floods disaster.

Dr. Moledina, in his address gave further details on the Pakistan visit and urged the mumineen to continue supporting for the relief of Pakistan Flood Victims by contributing generously, especially towards the housing project.  He then also briefed the mumineen on developments in The World Federation including an update on MTP, the importance the Federation is giving on data collection and also touched on the forthcoming constitutional conference.  In the Q&A session, the President shared his thoughts on the queries and concerns the members of the Jamaats expressed.  The President stressed on the need for more attention to the smaller Jamaats and that he was confident that CoEJ is working on the same lines.  He also brought up the issues of marriage within the community, and how the madressas operated within the Jamaats.

After the general gatherings with the grass roots in both the Jamaats, the managing committees of Jamaats had separate discussions on the opportunities and challenges the Jamaats are facing.  The President reiterated his thoughts on need for attention to the smaller Jamaats, specifically in the matter of having a resident alim in the Jamaats to support and guide the community in their spiritual needs and development.

The visit to Sweden by the President of WF, Dr Asgarali Moledina, and the Vice President of CoEJ, Br. Gulamhusein Sumar, was welcomed and highly appreciated by both the Jamaats.

Br. Gulamhusein Sumar thanked Dr. Moledina for taking the time to visit the region and for meeting with various members of the region.
