On Tuesday 8 November 2011, Dr. Asghar Moledina was received by The President of Kutch Federation Rajabalibhai  Hassam and his delegation.  That evening, Dr. Moledina had the opportunity to meet with the Office Bearers of Bhuj Jamaat.  The President discussed various issues at hand with the Office Bearers, including topics of mutual interest to both parties. 

On 9 November, Dr. Moledina visited Mundra Jamaat.  During his visit, he met with Jamaat officials and was pleased to be able to inspect the progress of the extension of the Mundra Imamwada.  
 
     
That evening, he visited Nagalpur Jamaat, where Dr. Moledina addressed the members of the Jamaat, where he briefed the audience on The World Federation Madressa programme as well as various economic upliftment programmes.  
      
 

Dr. Moledina was pleased to see a very positive response from the Jamaats in Kutch and looks forward to working with them further in the future. 

Background on The World Federation and Kutch

Following the earthquake of 2001 and the extensive assistance given to the people in our Kutch community by The World Federation, the standards and living conditions of the people in Kutch has improved remarkably.  Individuals are now able to assist their own people and the community.

Some Jamaats have managed the housing and economic loans with extreme efficiency, transparency and accountability.   These will now need to be reviewed in consultation with the various Jamaats and the Kutch Federation in order to recognize how they can be further utilised for the maximum benefit of the people in our Kutch Jamaats.

In addition, there may be some cases of short term partial assistance in Jamaat capital projects.  For example, The Kutch Federation together with Bhuj Jamaat and some philanthropists in Gujarat are repairing the Tawhid Hostel and will InshAllah restart the project within the next 2-3 months.

Through this progress, one can now feel and see prosperity being restored in Kutch. 

Dr. Moledina stated, "The positive results of the assistance given by The World Federation to the Kutch community after the earthquake of 2001 is now bearing fruit.  We can now proudly say that the after a tremendous amount of dedication and hard work the Kutch community has prospered and are on the road to self-sufficiency.  MashAllah, we thank Allah (SWT) and the world wide community for their continued support to reach this milestone.   Under the guidance and leadership of Rajabbhai Hassam and the Kutch Federation, the community has made excellent progress towards unity and prosperity.”
