Updated 1 March 2011

Around the world, a wide range of sports events continue to bring the Shia Muslim community closer together time and again. On Sunday 20 February 2011, The World Federation of KSIMC President, Dr. Asgar Moledina was invited as the chief guest to attend the Fatimiyah Boys School First Annual Sports Day in Karachi, Pakistan.  Dr. Moledina participated in this programme en route to visiting the flood-affected regions of Pakistan.

The Fatimiyah Boys School operates under the Fatimiyah Education Network, which is part of the Khoja (Pirhai) Shia Isna-Asheri Jamaat of Pakistan. The event was held at the National Coaching Centre at the Pakistan Sports Board Stadium.

The World Federation President, Dr. Asgar Moledina expressed:  “I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to the Khoja (Pirhai) Shia Isna-Asheri Jamaat of Pakistan and the Fatimiyah Boys School for inviting The World Federation of KSIMC to be part of their First Annual Sports Day.  This was an incredible opportunity to see our youth in action not only as athletes, but in displaying the true meaning of sportsmanship. I pray to Allah (swt) for their continued success and congratulate all of the participants, volunteers and staff for organizing such a wonderful programme.”
