The World Federation Autistic Day Care Centre organized a field trip to Movenpick Hotel on 5 May 2009 for the children. The Centre was officially opened in Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania, on February 2006 and was the first of its kind in East Africa. It provides structured support for children with autism and other disabling and chronic conditions.

The visit to the Movenpick Hotel created great excitement amongst the children. The teachers and children were first received by the hotel team led by the General Manager. The first group was given a tour of the hotel, while the others played and painted in the hotel’s beautiful green garden. Following this, the children were served delicious refreshments by the staff that were very helpful and hospitable.
Before the children left, the hotel General Manager presented the boys and girls with parting gifts such as sports bags and purses.
This visit was an amazing experience for all the children who participated.
