Bilal Muslim Mission of Tanzania – Continuous Professional Development Programme

Teachers from 7 centres from the south of Tanzania and around the Dar es Salaam region including Newala, Dimba, Ikwiriri, Tabata, Udoe, Mboga and Msata gathered at Bilal campus from 22 – 27 February 2010 for their first workshop on professional development, facilitated by Sheikh Abdu Nur and Sheikh Mberango in adopting the programme set forth by Creative Solutions.

The programme included an introduction to lesson planners and adopting year planners in their respective centres. In addition to topics for discussion, debates on punishment and enhancing unity in centres were also organised.

On completion of the course, all participants were awarded certificates. The second workshop will be held on 26 April to 1 May for Maalims from Mwanza, Arusha and Kigoma.
