The Education board of The Council of European Jamaats is organising a UCAS Workshop on Saturday, 18 September 2010 at Hujjat Islamic Centre, Wood Lane, Stanmore, HA7 4LQ . (Nearest Station is Stanmore - Jubilee line)
In its 9th iteration, the UCAS Workshop gives you a helping hand in completing your UCAS application from students who have successfully navigated through it and are currently studying at university. Representatives from many different universities and subjects will be on hand to help you write your personal statement, answer any questions on interview technique and offer advice on their respective universities and degrees!
We aim to provide a detailed look at hand picked personal statements, and give you the opportunity to write your own, complete, draft of a personal statement.
Our speakers, Arif Hasham and Aqil Datoo, have over a decade of experience showing students an effective way of structuring and writing a personal statement. During the day, you will gain:
- A complete first draft of your personal statement
- A free personal statement review service
- Guidance on how to choose a university and degree
- Tips and advice from university students and admission tutors about university interview technique
- And much more....
Take part and build a successful UCAS application!
It is FREE and lunch will be provided.
Many current university students from Russell Group universities, and Oxbridge, will participate, assisting you if you need help, advice and tips on applications, personal statements and interviews.
Help is at hand...whether you want to find out more about the BMAT or you are worried about student finance, this UCAS workshop will answer all your questions and prepare you for the UCAS process!
Due to unprecedented demand in previous years, we can only take 30 people – please apply online at: www.coej.org/education. But hurry, the deadline for registration is 15 September 2010!
