In a recent meeting between the management of IIPS and the teachers, Dr Mahmood Abdulla, the IIPS Executive Dean, emphasised the unique nature of the programme in being a competent Hawza and MA course that will be completed in four years. Dr Abdulla outlined the processes that IIPS has adopted in ensuring the quality of the teaching and the targets for completion.
Shaykh Muhammad Khalfan, Hawza programme leader, provided his experience to the teachers to follow in how to best deliver the modules and how to monitor the progress of the students in line with IIPS standards of excellence. He drew their attention to the fact that the training of the students should always be focused towards their future service to their communities. In the long run this training will provide them with solid groundwork to progress further in Islamic sciences and to open for them greater opportunities for research.
Dr Abdullah commented, “At the end of the meeting the teachers appreciated the effort to consult them with pertinent issues relating to the teaching techniques.”
Shaykh Qassim Assady, senior teacher of the Arabic modules said: "The meeting manifested mutual understanding between the academic staff and the management. The meeting raised fundamental issues to develop the educational standards of the students."
