Muslim Chaplaincy Volunteers Required Within The NHS

The Council of European Jamaats is facilitating the recruiting of Muslim Chaplaincy Volunteers which is a project initiated by the Muslim Council of Britain and the Department of Health.

Muslim Chaplaincy is a role that is at its core spiritual and religious. The attending of the sick, visiting those who maybe at the end of life and supporting families of a deceased are all praiseworthy deeds when done with sincerity. Volunteering is also a very commendable vocation and encouraged within Islam. Someone who is able to combine chaplaincy and volunteering is indeed in a fortunate and privileged role.

Muslim Chaplaincy Volunteers within the NHS will be expected to abide by all the policies and procedures within the place of work that they intend to volunteer.

The Muslim Council of Britain in partnership with the Department of Health have organised an Intensive Course on Muslim Healthcare Chaplaincy.

Deadline for application is Monday 19 April 2010.
