The Iraq Relief Orphan Fund Reaches Boiling Point…

By the grace of Allah (SWT) and the generous support of donors worldwide, the World Federation has successfully achieved its goal of raising £70,000 for the Orphans of Iraq. This amount will facilitate the sponsorship of more then 300 Iraqi orphans for one year, providing them with a real education, food, clothing, shelter and medication. This generous contribution will ensure that the young, underprivileged orphans will receive a new beginning. A fresh start to a life of freedom and new found opportunities.

This amazing accomplishment is a result of the endless number of fundraising collections, appeals and activities that have been conducted throughout the world over the past four months. The response and support for this appeal was truly overwhelming, with all cross-sections of our community and society at large collectively working and striving for this noble cause.

As the World Federation’s news articles illustrate, volunteers worked tirelessly from regional Jamaat bodies, youth groups to even Madressa children. The appeal was essentially a global effort with support and help coming from America, Australia, Canada, Dubai, Europe and New Zealand.  As networks aligned in unison, success was being brewed with one ultimate objective – To create a brighter future for the next generation of Iraqi Muslims.

The World Federation has now officially closed this ‘Iraq Relief Orphan Fund’ and is in a process of collating and accounting all contributions. We kindly request all those donors that have made pledges to settle their outstanding sums by the end of the month of Safar 1426, 9 March 2005.

May Allah (SWT) reward you for all your support and shower you with mercy and blessings.
